Frequently asked questions
A parivar is as defined by the resident. However, husband, wife, and unmarried children are considered as parivar members to create/enroll a family in the Himparivar system through the Panchayat Secretary.
Him Parivar ID is the single identifier of resident families and its members in Himachal Pradesh. The Him Parivar database also serves as a centralized repository of resident attributes that are required by departments to determine the applicants eligibility and extend their benefits.
It is helpful in applying for eligible government schemes. It helps the government in providing targeted benefits to eligible beneficiaries.
Residents can access the Him Parivar website at https://himparivar.hp.gov.in and login to know their Him Parivar ID.
Step 1 - Login through Aadhaar OTP
Step 2 - If Aadhaar of the resident is seeded in the Parivar Register of Panchayati Raj Department, then login would be successful and he/she will be able to view the Family ID.
Step 3 - In case Aadhaar is not seeded in the Parivar Register, the resident would be guided to follow the below steps:
Step 3.1 - Whether the resident belongs to Rural/Urban area
Step 3.2 - In case the resident belongs to the Rural area, he/she would be asked to get his/her Aadhaar eKYC done by visiting the Gram Panchayat Office.
Step 3.3 - In case the resident belongs to the Urban area, he/she would be asked to enter his/her Ration Card Number. Once the Ration Card Number is validated by the system, his/her family would be displayed on the screen, and a temporary Family ID would be assigned subject to physical verification done by the concerned ULB.
Step 4 - Once successfully logged in, citizens can download a copy of HimParivar which contains the Family ID as well as Member IDs.
It is the tab provided for citizens to log into the portal to check their Parivar details registered by their respective Panchayat Secretary. Citizens can check the schemes and services availed by them.
