HIM PARIVAR

HIM PARIVAR is an Entitlement based Management System which is being developed into an integrated State Social Registry. It consists of family registry, beneficiary management system, beneficiary registry, direct benefit platform and a grievance redressal system. Him Parivar would act as a single source of truth for the identification, validation of beneficiaries for the delivery of various welfare schemes envisaged by the Government of Himachal Pradesh.

Him Parivar uses the data as available in various department databases. Him Parivar ID will enable residents to check their entitlement and eligibility and apply for schemes. It will reduce the documentary burden on the citizens to access government benefit schemes and further reduce the requirement of citizens to submit the same documents again and again to the Government. It would greatly simplify and ease the access to government schemes and services.

Him Parivar system would also help identify actual persons in need and ensure that they are delivered only to those who need them the most and in the fastest possible mode. It will provide data for evidence-based policy making for the future.

Him Parivar project is implemented by the Department of Information Technology, Government of Himachal Pradesh.

  1. What is Him Parivar ID?
    Him Parivar ID is the single identifier of resident families and its members in Himachal Pradesh. The Him Parivar database also serves as a centralized repository of resident attributes that are required by departments to determine the applicants eligibility and extend their benefits.
  2. Why Him Parivar ID is required?
    Citizens interact with the Government on a regular basis, through online and offline mechanisms. Currently, online mechanisms require citizens to fill forms, upload various documents which are then manually verified by government officials. Further, the citizens have to submit the same documents time and again to other departments for availing other services. In order to make these services easy and seamless, the Government of Himachal Pradesh has conceptualized and designed a unique identifier, Him Parivar ID, for each family and its members in the State. Him Parivar reduces the need for manual intervention in various activities like eligibility check, documentation, record-keeping, and disbursement of benefits. It further eliminates the need of asking documents and certificates from residents repeatedly by different Departments.
  3. How can residents know their Family ID?
    Residents can access Him Parivar website at https://himparivar.hp.gov.in and login to know their Him Parivar ID.
    1. Login through Aadhaar OTP
    2. If Aadhaar of the resident is seeded in the Parivar Register of Panchayati Raj Department, then login would be successful and he will be able to view Family ID.
    3. In case Aadhaar is not seeded in the Parivar Register, the resident would be guided to follow the following steps:
      1. Whether Resident belongs to Rural/Urban area
      2. In case resident belongs to Rural area, he would be asked to get his Aadhaar eKYC done by visiting Gram Panchayat Office
      3. In case resident belongs to Urban area, he would be asked to enter his Ration Card Number. Once Ration Card Number is validated by the system, his family would be displayed on the screen and temporary Family ID would be assigned subject to physical verification done by the concerned ULB.
    4. Once successfully logged in, citizen can download a copy of HimParivar which contains Family ID as well as Member IDs.
  4. Can residents apply for schemes/services using the Temporary Him Parivar ID?
    Yes, the temporary Him Parivar ID can be used to apply for schemes or services. After verification and approval, the ID is made permanent. Permanent ID is mandatory for sanction of benefits.
